SUMMARY

To serve the vision of Rock City Church by playing a vital role in expanding the reach of Rock City Church and deepening the engagement of our attendees. Leading high-impact marketing initiatives, develop compelling messaging, and oversee cross-platform communication strategies that inspire action, tell stories of life change, and ultimately help make Heaven full.

GENERAL DUTIES

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

  • Lead multi-channel marketing campaign execution from strategy through performance reporting
  • Own and manage the full campaign calendar: budgeting, message crafting, deliverable scope, vendor/contractor
  • Utilize AI to its fullest capacity to ensure maximum productivity, creativity and results

STRATEGIC MARKETING

  • Maintain and evolve Rock City’s brand across all platforms
  • Develop messaging that aligns with vision, values, tone and visual identity
  • Oversee social media team – working with social media directors, coordinators and volunteers to expand reach, engagement and impact across all social platforms and handles
  • Own the development and documentation of marketing SOP’s and internal systems for clarity and scale
  • Oversee tv relationships and speak into programing for maximum effectiveness
  • Oversee external vendors and marketing partners to ensure brand compliance

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

  • Oversee internal communication strategies for key areas: Beyond Our Walls Impact, Legacy, Annual and seasonal central areas of Focus, Annual and Monthly Reports
  • Collaborate with leaders to craft and execute strategic internal communications that move attendees through Rock City’s next steps
  • Create Key Messages to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Serve as Chief Storyteller – capturing and equipping leaders with stories of life change at Rock City

WEBSITE & APP

  • Oversee web and app strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Provide weekly updates and ensure alignment with ongoing campaigns and initiatives

EMAIL & TEXT COMMUNICATIONS

  • Lead the strategy and execution of email marketing, including drafting and scheduling central emails
  • Oversee central text communication strategy for timely and effective messaging

CREATIVE COLLABORATION

  • Partner with creative and worship team to ensure message cohesion and visual alignment
  • Work closely with department directors to ensure excellence and impact in all promotional efforts
  • Provide creative input on key content and marketing elements

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or brand leadership, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role
  • Demonstrated success leading marketing efforts in a fast-paced, high-capacity environment; experience in a church, agency, or mission-driven organization preferred

SOCIAL MEDIA & DIGITAL STRATEGY

  • Deep understanding of social media strategy, trends, and analytics, with proven experience growing and engaging audiences across platforms
  • Skilled in overseeing multi-platform social campaigns—from content planning and creation to performance tracking and optimization
  • Experience managing social teams, including staff and volunteers

AI & MARKETING INNOVATION

  • Proficiency in utilizing AI-powered tools for content creation, productivity, audience insights, and campaign optimization
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a desire to stay ahead of marketing trends and emerging technologies

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGIC PLANNING

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to cast vision, lead teams, and execute large-scale campaigns with excellence
  • Experience managing external vendors, creatives, and contractors
  • Comfortable setting goals, KPIs, and using data to guide decision-making

COMMUNICATIONS & COLLABORATION

  • Excellent communicator—both written and verbal—with the ability to adapt messaging to fit various audiences
  • Highly collaborative and flexible; thrives in team-oriented environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and a high attention to detail
