SUMMARY

To provide leadership and pastoral assistance in the Dream Center Family Outreach Department. To ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations of the Dream Center Family Outreach programming at the regional level.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Leader of all Family Outreach programming in one region of Columbus, executing the vision of Columbus Dream Center: including, but not limited to After School Programs, Super Saturday, Brotherhood and Sisterhood Small Groups, Adopt-A-Block, Block Parties, and Community Small Groups
  • Provide oversight, leadership, and direction to the regional teams (part time staff and volunteer leaders)
  • Grow the influence of the Dream Center in the region
  • Engage children grades kindergarten through twelfth grade in the Dream Center Family Outreach experience
  • Ensure coordinators (seasonal staff or volunteers) are creating a safe, clean, and age appropriate environment for students in all programs in the region
  • Ensure coordinators are completing their responsibilities
  • Recruit new volunteers
  • Develop and mentor high quality leaders
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new volunteers, including follow up of profile, background check and training
  • Lead and build teams to execute all aspects of weekly programming
  • Consistent communication with key leaders to ensure alignment of policy and procedure
  • Build relationships with parents and families in region
  • Respond to emergencies/urgent issues as they arise
  • Create systems that allow for long-term and ongoing influence in the lives of students and families
  • Organize and lead annual events (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Talent Show)
  • Perform any other tasks requested by Dream Center’s central team
  • Embrace the mission, vision, and values of Columbus Dream Center
  • Conscious of the need for confidentiality and discernment in sensitive situations
  • Steward the Dream Center’s resources
  • Participate in staff meetings and Family Outreach specific meetings
  • Plan and execute monthly Leadership Development nights
  • Support other Rock City and Dream Center ministries/programs/events as needed
  • Maintain personal spiritual development through Bible reading, prayer, and Christian community
  • Assist in all Dream Center event planning and execution
